Kuwait's orders come in through Shuwaikh and split between routine building services and the heavier specification of its refining and oil work. Galvanised iron (GI) and malleable iron (MI) threaded fittings are drawn from the Dubai stock or shipped as a full container from Brazil, and the two are quoted side by side so the lower landed cost is the one taken.
Shuwaikh is the named port of entry. Kuwait is far enough up the Gulf that a direct sailing from Brazil is worth costing seriously for any container-sized requirement, while the Dubai stock remains the sensible answer for mixed orders, replenishment and anything a contractor needs before a production slot could be booked.
Both numbers come back in the same quotation, so the comparison is arithmetic rather than argument.

The refining and petrochemical sector sets the tone. Work written by American engineering contractors follows NPT to ANSI B16.3 in Class 150 and Class 300, and it is normal for a single Kuwaiti buyer to need NPT for the plant and BSP for the buildings on the same site. Away from the plants, the volume is water networks, housing and building services in galvanised iron (GI) to BSP, with fire protection work written to NFPA calling for the UL Listed and FM Approved figures specifically.
