A conexão para caixa d'água é a peça que se monta no corpo do reservatório e dele deriva a saída da tubulação. Ao contrário de uma conexão comum, ela precisa suportar a coluna d'água e permanecer totalmente estanque no ponto em que encontra a parede da caixa.
Serve a todos os reservatórios de água usuais — polietileno, PVC e fibra de vidro. O formato projetado garante vedação completa e impede que a ligação transpire.
A falha típica de uma conexão de caixa d'água de baixa qualidade é a trinca na ligação, seja por aperto excessivo, seja pela tensão da carga de água. A conexão TUPY é feita em ferro fundido maleável de padrão industrial, que resiste a trincas e a impacto.
Seu revestimento tem duas camadas: galvanização por imersão a quente mais tinta industrial, para máxima resistência à umidade permanente e às condições severas de obra. Fornecida nas bitolas de 1/2pol a 1 1/2pol.

TUPYBSP fittings are threaded to BSP in accordance with ISO 7-1; the male thread is tapered and the seal is made on the thread itself. BSP is not interchangeable with NPT, and screwing the two together will leak. TUPY also produces a separate NPT line, which is covered in the downloads section.
The figure 350 tank fitting is designed to connect a pipe to the wall of a tank or water cistern. It passes through the tank wall and is secured from the outside with a sealing washer and a nut. The hole diameter needed in the tank wall for each size is given in the dimensions table on this page.
According to TUPY's technical catalogue, the working pressure of TUPYBSP fittings is 25 bar between −20 °C and +120 °C. It falls to 20 bar above 300 °C, and intermediate values are interpolated. The design pressure in the hydrostatic test is 100 bar for sizes up to 4 in and 64 bar for 5 in and 6 in.

TUPY malleable cast iron fittings are built to ISO 49, EN 10242 and ABNT NBR 6943, and their threads follow ISO 7-1. The threads are clean and free of burrs, and the galvanised coating is even.
