About the Curva Longa, F/F

A curva longa, ao contrário do cotovelo, muda a direção da linha de forma gradual, num raio longo. Suas duas extremidades têm rosca fêmea.

A diferença principal em relação ao cotovelo de 90° está no comportamento do escoamento. O cotovelo quebra a linha num único ponto e cria ali turbulência e uma perda de carga localizada; a curva conduz o escoamento ao longo de um arco. O resultado é menos perda de carga, menos ruído e menos erosão da parede.

Por isso a curva é preferida ao cotovelo em linhas de recalque, em trechos de alta velocidade e sempre que o golpe de aríete for uma preocupação. Em troca, ocupa mais espaço.

A curva longa TUPY é fornecida como figura 3; é fundida em ferro maleável e as roscas são usinadas em BSP, com base na EN 10242 e na ISO 49. Está disponível galvanizada e preta, nas bitolas de 1/2pol a 2pol.
